On leadership and emotional intelligence

I find the concept of leadership fascinating because it is so ubiquitous and yet so difficult to do well. Today, I set out to write about how I think emotional intelligence is the secret sauce in great leadership and is what will set the successful leaders of the future apart. Personally, I've always viewed emotional intelligence as my superpower in work and in life.

However before I wrote the post, I came across an interview with Michael Stephan, a Partner in Human Capital at Deloitte on why emotional intelligence is essential for leaders and how to increase it.
